About

Pines and linen is created by me, Joanna. The name is inspired by the forest and the pines outside the windows of my studio. I love to combine colors and patterns and to create graphical patterns with fabric scraps. I also paint and print my own patterns with help of the cones and needles of the pines. I try to always think zero waste and I take care of small fabric scraps.

Why linen?

I really like the linen fabric because it is so irregular and imperfect. It gets really soft and the wrinkles are beautiful. Linen is strong and withstands high temperatures when washing and ironing. It is also absorbent and dries faster than cotton which makes it great for wearing in the summer. It warms you when it's cold and cools you when it's hot. The linen I am using comes from Lithuania.

Care instructions

Wash by hand or in machine on 30-40°C. Iron on medium heat. For best result you could iron when the fabric is still a bit damp.

After each washing the fabric becomes more softer and less wrinkly.

Linen is relatively easy to take care of, since it resists dirt and stains.
